Potawatomi Snowmobile Trails - 22 miles of trails developed by the Potawatomi Snowmobile Club north of Angola in Steuben County. Call the Snowmobile Information Hotline (574) 679-4006 for the most up to date trail conditions and information. The hotline will be activated after the first snowfall of the year.

Toboggan Slide, Cross Country Skiing
Visit Pokagon State Park and experience the thrill of their quarter mile toboggan run with track speeds of 35 to 40 miles per hour. The toboggan run operates weekends from the Friday after Thanksgiving through February, with extended holiday hours. Closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Many also choose to cross country ski on the available trails. Pleas call the park for further information. (260) 833-2012.
Ice Fishing
When ice fishing, no more than three lines may be used at any one time. Each line may contain no more than two hooks (single, double or treble) or two artificial baits. Holes cut for ice fishing cannot be more than 12 inches in diameter. Tip-ups must be identified with the name and address of the user, and must be in constant visual contact by the person using them.
Ice fishing shelters must have the owner's name and address in three inch block letters on the outside of the door. An unattended portable fishing shelter must have the owner's name and address in three inch block letters on an exterior wall. Any fishing shelter or portable left unattended, between sunrise and sunset, must have at least one red reflector or a three-inch by three-inch reflective strip on each side of the structure.
Ice shanties and portable shelters must be removed from public waters before ice-out. If used before January 1 and after February 15, all structures must be removed daily.
