As the Director of Steuben County Communications, thank you for visiting our web page.
The mission of the Steuben County Communications Center is to provide the best quality public safety service to all we serve in an expedient and professional manner while respecting the diversity of our community and recognize our employees as our most valuable resource.
Our 9-1-1 Center became it's own county department separate from the Sheriff's Department in 1992. With the implementation of 9-1-1 services in our community, a new communications center was built in 1993. Since that time our department has grown to 5 dispatch consoles and 14 full time employees with at least 2 dispatchers on duty 24 hours a day 7 days a week. With top-notch radio and computer technology along with excellent and dedicated employees, I am pleased to manage such a successful 9-1-1 operation.
