The Voter Registration office is in charge of maintaining the record of registered voters in Steuben County. If you are not sure of your voting location please call our office.

Voters can register to vote or pick up the mail-in forms at any of the following locations:

• in the voter registration office
• at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles
• most Government offices

Election Calendar

Oct 6, 2008:   Voter Registration closes for the 2008 General Election.

Oct 6, 2008:   First day to vote absentee in the Clerk's Office (Steuben County Court
                       House) for the General Election.  Please call (260)668-1000 ext 2200
                       for hours of absentee voting.

Oct 27, 2008:     Last day to receive a mailed, hand-delivered or facsimile transmitted
                           absentee ballot application from a voter who requests to vote by mail.
                           (for confined voters please call (260)668-1000 ext 2220

NOW through Nov 3, 2008 NOON:  Please call (260)668-1000 ext 2220 for hours
                                                             to absentee vote in the Clerk's Office.

Nov 3, 2008 at NOON:  Last day to absentee vote in the Clerk's Office.

Nov 4, 2008:  General Election Day (polls are open 6:00 am to 6:00 pm)

Dec 1, 2008:  First day after the primary election that an individual may register to
                           vote.
