At the time ticket(s)/citation(s) are issued a Traffic Infractions Schedule of Judgments/State of Indiana Steuben County Superior Court Notice of Appearance card should also have been received by the defendant giving information about fees and appearance.

Court dates for traffic infraction(s) are on Mondays at 3:30 P.M.

Most ticket(s)/citation(s) DO NOT require a court appearance if the ticket is paid prior to the court date, UNLESS the ticket(s)/citation(s) is for any of the stipulations listed below than you must appear in court.

• Defendant is under 18 years of age (also needs parent or legal guardian present)
• All Misdemeanors
• Driving While Suspended
• School Bus (passing) Violation
• Infractions Involving Collisions (accidents)
• Child Restraint Violation

Please keep the Clerk informed of address changes for purpose of bond refunds, and filings of the court. The Clerk’s Office will not do a criminal search for liability reasons. We have two public terminals for use in checking the records from 1994 to present and there are fee books listing cases prior to 1994.

All court ordered costs, fines, probation fees, and restitutions are paid thru the Clerk’s Office.
